Quick Update on Settling In

Andre was playing with stickers and stuck them in his hair, on his ear, etc.!

Greesha was just smiling for the camera.

The boys are learning English words now. They started learning them week 2 home! They know "oh boy!", "oh no!" (when something falls or toys crash, etc), "more"and "hello". Greesha repeats everything over and over - "bye bye", "car", "careful", etc. He, from memory, said "froggy" the other day when he picked up a rubber frog. Andre doesn't repeat as much as Gregory, but he understands a lot of what we say. He even helps with Greesha by telling him what we are trying to communicate (and by telling him what Andre thinks he should do :)).

Over the last few nights they slept much better - only waking up once or twice. We are SO grateful for that!

They are learning cute, loving things too - like Andre will have his animals and cars (and whatever else he is playing with) kiss each other. And he has us pretend to take a nap and pats us and tucks us in all nicely.

They are balls of energy for sure, but it is really fun to get to know them! :)

Rocking out!

Andre LOVES this organ. He turns it on, hands the guitar to someone, hands some shakers to someone else and starts playing and singing along to his made up tune. Ken got his wish for a rock band!

We're All Home!

I'm far too exhausted to get into any of the details now but we are delighted to report that Andre, Gregory, Jenny, and Ken are finally safely tucked away inside our little Lombard house!

Another Update

Our USCIS clearance for two children has come!! Phew! Now that will not hold us up. When they call us from Kaz and say they're ready for us to pick up the boys, we are clear to do so! Such an enormous relief. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. We'll let you all know when we hear our travel date.

Update

Well, our Kaz court paperwork was signed on Friday, January 9th! Woohoo! The boys are really, truly, on official papers, our boys now. :)

This also means that the boys' new paperwork (passports, new birth certifs., etc.) can now be started. We also still need to get our Citizenship and Immigration clearance to bring both boys into the country before we can go get them... We shall see how long this all takes; we are still hoping for the end of January. It just feels like it's time for them to come home!!
