On August 23rd Ken and I went to the picnic in Palatine for Chicago-area families who adopted their children from Kazakhstan.
We are in the back, on the far left - I am in pink (not looking at the camera) and Ken is behind me...
It was so nice to meet our Adoption Coordinator, Andrea, her husband and her 2 beautiful children. We also got to talk with a few couples who just traveled to Kaz within the last few months. They have such cute little sons!!
Overall it was a very nice time. We were the only ones there who did not have a child yet from Kaz, but everyone was very kind and were so happy to tell us about their experiences. It's so nice to have a local group like this in our area!
